About
Crip Culture is a disability-led podcast, hosted by award-winning writer Fiona Murphy and disability advocate/influencer Rosie Putland. It shines a light on disability arts and culture from publishing, film, TV, visual arts and beyond.
Season one released 7 December 2025 dives into what it means to be a writer who is d/Deaf, disabled, neurodivergent, or chronically ill. Across 7 episodes, we speak with 14 remarkable disabled authors and storytellers from around Australia including Carly Findlay, Dr Scott Avery, Andy Jackson, Matilda Boseley, Ashley Kalagian Blunt and more. Crip Culture is both a call to action for the publishing industry and a love letter to disabled creatives: a reminder that our stories matter, and that none of us are creating in isolation.
